Electrified Through-Wire and/or Monitor Architectural Hinges 

Ives offers electrification options on a variety of our full mortise three knuckle and five knuckle hinges. These hinges transfer power and signals from the frame to the door. Electrified hinges hide wiring from view to provide a more pleasing aesthetic and a more secure application.

Ives offers a variety of through-wire electrified options on 3CB1 and 5BB1 standard, heavy-weight, swing clear and wide through hinges. Electrical through-wire provides electric power transfer from the frame to the door in order to supply power to an electrified mortise or cylindrical locks, exit devices with electric latch retraction, and/or electric strikes (pairs of doors). Each wire is 28 AWG and rated 50 volts AC/DC at 3.5 amp continuous and 16 amp pulse. Maximum pulse 400 milliseconds. Ives through-wire hinges are fully compatible with 4 wire (TW4) 8 wire (TW8) installations and 12 wire (TW12) installations. 

Ives also offers a electrified hinge monitor option (MON) for door position monitoring.  The monitor is rated 30 volts AC/DC at 0.25 amp. Fully compatible with through-wire hinges with 4 wire (TW4M) and 8 wire (TW8M) installations. 

All TW4, TW8, TW12 and MON options are supplied standard with Allegion Connect (CON), an 8-pin Connector which makes it easy to connect to other electrified hardware.
